In an initial consultation, you can expect a full dynamic, static, palpation and range of motion assessment. This is necessary in order to create a relevant treatment plan for the animal. Even if the cause of discomfort is already diagnosed, different animals will compensate and react in different ways. There may also be time to start some therapy work. This could include the use of any of the electrotherapy modalities described and explained and could also include manual work which could be massage, different manipulation techniques such as stretching or range of motion.

From there, we will arrange follow-up sessions, which will roughly follow the rehabilitation plan. This could require the owner of the animal to perform massage, remedial exercises or other specific manipulation techniques which I will demonstrate for the owner and give a clear plan for how often and when this should be carried out, taking into account how much time you have to perform this. The following sessions will likely include a small assessment of improvement as well as performing the necessary modalities for the individual animal.
